Do I have to insure and bill a babysitter even for a one-off assignment?
No, you do not need to register your babysitter for a one-off assignment. As far as insurance is concerned, there are two points you should bear in mind:
- Your babysitter works on a self-employed basis and issues you with an invoice. In this case, the babysitter is self-insured.
- The babysitter is paid based on marginal employment via a service cheque. Accident insurance is already included in the service cheque. There are no further costs for you.
