Babysitter in Vienna - Feb - April 2026

we are looking for a kind, reliable babysitter for our 15-month-old child during our stay in Vienna from February until the end of April (approximately three months).

We will be in Vienna because of my research stay, and we are looking for occasional childcare once or twice a week, usually for 2 to 4 hours at a time. Babysitting could take place either at our home or outside, for example at playgrounds, libraries, or other child-friendly places around Vienna.

Our child has never been babysat before, so at the beginning we would like to proceed gently and see together what works best for everyone. We are looking for someone patient, sensitive, and comfortable with a gradual start.

We are open to babysitters of all backgrounds. We do not speak German fluently, but we communicate in English, Czech, and Slovak, and we also have some knowledge of Italian, Polish, and basic German, so communication should not be an issue.

What matters most to us is:

• a genuine relationship to children

• an active and caring approach (playing, going outside, visiting playgrounds or libraries)

• reliability and openness to communicate
